Volkswagen India has brought a striking new twist to its GT Line offerings, launching a Flash Red colour edition for the Taigun and Virtus GT Line. The update is visually focused and brings a refreshing, sportier aesthetic to the 1.0 TSI variants, aligning well with the growing demand for style-driven models in the premium compact segment.
The Colour of Confidence
The new Flash Red shade, distinct from the existing Cherry Red, is noticeably bolder and more vibrant. Volkswagen has paired it with a contrasting black roof, black ORVMs, door handles, and 17-inch Cassino Black alloy wheels, completing the stealthy aesthetic that makes these GT Line variants stand out on the road. A blacked-out grille and smoked LED headlamps further add to the visual intensity.
It’s worth noting that this update is exclusive to the 1.0-litre TSI GT Line variants of both models. The more powerful 1.5 TSI GT Plus trims remain unchanged in terms of both features and visual options.
A Familiar Powertrain with a Fresh Face
The 1.0 TSI turbo-petrol engine, producing 115 PS and 178 Nm of torque, remains at the heart of both the Taigun and Virtus GT Line. It is paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic (torque converter), offering a refined and energetic driving experience for urban and highway use alike.
There are no mechanical changes in the Flash Red edition. Instead, the focus remains on providing a distinctive new flavour to the GT Line without disrupting the proven formula that customers have come to trust.

Inside the cabin, the Flash Red edition retains all the GT Line equipment including a 10.1-inch infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, paddle shifters (AT only), six airbags, ESC, reverse parking camera, and more.
