Toyota has recently introduced its latest offering for the Indian market - the Urban Cruiser Taisor. As part of the ongoing collaboration between Toyota and Suzuki, the Taisor emerges as a result of this partnership, joining the ranks of other cross-badged vehicles born from this alliance. Priced competitively starting from 7.73 lakhs ex-showroom, the Taisor is set to hit the roads in May.
Exterior
While the Taisor shares its body structure with the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Toyota has injected unique styling elements to give it a personality of its own. Notable revisions include a redesigned grille, updated bumpers, and a fresh set of LED DRLs and taillights. The Taisor also rides on sleek 16-inch alloy wheels, showcasing Toyota's commitment to aesthetic refinement.
Interior
Step inside the Urban Cruiser Taisor, and you'll find a cabin that exudes comfort and sophistication. Sporting a layered dashboard design with silver accents, the interior offers a seamless blend of style and functionality. Features such as a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system, equipped with voice assistant and connected car technology, ensure a seamless driving experience. Safety is paramount, with the Taisor boasting six airbags, ESP, hill hold assist, and seat-belt reminders.
Engine
Under the hood, the Taisor offers the same engine options as its counterpart, the Fronx. Drivers can choose between a naturally-aspirated 1.2-litre petrol engine and a turbo-powered unit, delivering impressive power and torque figures. Both engine variants come paired with a five-speed manual gearbox as standard, with the turbo model offering an optional six-speed automatic transmission. Additionally, a CNG variant is also available for Eco-conscious drivers.
