Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has announced major price cuts across its entire product portfolio, fully passing on the benefits of the recent GST reduction to customers. The timing, just ahead of the festive season, makes popular Toyota models significantly more attractive for buyers looking to upgrade or purchase their next vehicle.
Big Savings on Flagship Models
Leading Toyota’s revised pricing is the Fortuner, with a massive price drop of up to ₹3.49 lakh. The Legender, premium variant of the fortuner, follows closely with cuts of up to ₹3.34 lakh. The Hilux lifestyle pickup also sees a substantial reduction of ₹2.52 lakh.
Among Toyota’s luxury offerings, the Vellfire gets cheaper by up to ₹2.78 lakh, while the Camry sedan becomes more accessible with a ₹1.01 lakh price cut.
Strong Benefits in the Mid-Range Segment
Toyota’s mid-range bestsellers have also received significant revisions.
- Innova Crysta – reduced by up to ₹1.80 lakh
- Innova Hycross – cheaper by up to ₹1.15 lakh
- Urban Cruiser Hyryder – cut by ₹65,400
- Taisor compact SUV – now more affordable by ₹1.11 lakh
These adjustments are expected to boost demand in one of Toyota’s strongest customer bases – families and fleet buyers.
Entry-Level Models Made More Attractive
For first-time car buyers, Toyota has ensured its entry-level offerings are more budget-friendly.
This move positions Toyota competitively in the compact and affordable segment, especially with buyers who may have been considering alternatives in the hatchback and MPV categories.
GST Reform and Its Impact
The GST Council recently announced a rationalisation of tax slabs, effective September 22, 2025, coinciding with the first day of Navaratri.
- Petrol, LPG, and CNG vehicles under 1,200cc and under 4,000mm length, along with diesel vehicles up to 1,500cc and under 4,000mm length, now fall under the 18% GST slab.
- Larger passenger vehicles exceeding 1,200cc and 4,000mm will attract a 40% levy.
Toyota has confirmed that the entire benefit of the GST reduction is being passed directly to customers, making its wide range of vehicles more affordable across segments.
Why This Matters for Buyers
With price drops spanning from entry-level hatchbacks to luxury MPVs and SUVs, Toyota is clearly aiming to capture festive demand. Models like the Fortuner, Innova, and Hyryder are expected to see a surge in bookings, while value-driven options like the Glanza and Rumion will attract new customer segments.
Toyota has urged customers to verify the revised prices with their nearest authorized dealerships, as exact benefits may vary by variant and location. Given the festive rush, early bookings are strongly advised to ensure timely deliveries.
