Renault Kiger Facelift Launched at 6.29 lakhs: Prices, Features, Safety & More

Renault has officially launched the 2025 Kiger facelift in India, with prices ranging from ₹6.29 lakh to ₹11.29 lakh (ex-showroom). This marks the compact SUV’s first major update since its debut in 2021, and the model continues to position itself as a value-packed yet premium option in India’s highly competitive sub-4m SUV space.

Pricing and Variants

The facelifted Renault Kiger is available in four trims – Authentic, Evolution, Techno, and Emotion. Prices for the updated lineup start just ₹15,000 higher than the outgoing model, with the range-topping Emotion Turbo CVT priced at ₹11.29 lakh. Interestingly, Renault is offering dual-tone colour options at no additional cost on turbo variants, adding further appeal to the top-spec trims.

Exterior Updates

On the outside, the Kiger facelift features a bolder and sharper design language. The compact SUV now comes with a revised front fascia featuring Renault’s new diamond logo, a sculpted bonnet, reworked bumpers, a wider silver skid plate, and updated LED headlamps and fog lamps. At the rear, a smoked light cluster and a reprofiled bumper lend a refreshed look.

Renault has also introduced two new colours – Oasis Yellow and Shadow Grey – alongside the existing palette. Dual-tone finishes are available, while the turbo variants additionally sport “TURBO” badging for differentiation. Completing the visual update are newly designed 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, adding to the SUV’s premium presence.

Interior Enhancements

The facelift continues with the proven 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (72 PS, 96 Nm) paired with 5-speed manual or AMT gearboxes, alongside the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit (100 PS, up to 160 Nm) with options of a 5-speed manual or X-Tronic CVT. The turbo engine also benefits from Mirror Bore Coating technology, derived from motorsport, for improved efficiency and durability.

Fuel efficiency remains competitive, with the NA variant delivering up to 19.83 km/l and the turbo-petrol offering 20.38 km/l (ARAI certified). Renault also offers a dealer-fitted CNG kit, adding flexibility for buyers focused on running costs.

Safety Upgrades

One of the most significant updates to the Kiger facelift is its enhanced safety package. Six airbags are now standard across all variants, a substantial upgrade over the outgoing model. Additionally, all trims are equipped with 21 safety features, including ESP, traction control, hill start assist, TPMS, and ISOFIX mounts.

The SUV continues on the CMFA+ platform, known for its strength and stability, and now integrates pedestrian protection measures as well. Functional roof rails with a 50kg load capacity further add to practicality.
