Honda has launched the 2026 Elevate facelift in India, giving its midsize SUV its first major update since the model was introduced in 2023. Prices start at ₹11.80 lakh ex-showroom, while the range extends to ₹18.40 lakh for the top-spec ZX+ Black CVT.

The facelift does not change the basic Elevate formula. Honda has retained the naturally aspirated 1.5-litre petrol engine, along with the choice of a 6-speed manual or CVT automatic. Instead, the company has concentrated on the areas where the SUV had begun to fall behind newer rivals: exterior detailing, cabin equipment, comfort and parking technology.

The biggest additions include a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, ventilated rear seats, powered front seats and a more comprehensive Honda Sensing package. Honda has also worked on cabin insulation, addressing one of the more noticeable criticisms of the outgoing Elevate.

Pre-bookings for the updated SUV opened on October 1, with deliveries scheduled to begin shortly after the launch.

2026 Honda Elevate facelift price in India

The new Elevate starts at ₹11.80 lakh for the SV manual and is available in five main trims: SV, V, VX, ZX and the new ZX+.

The SV is offered only with the 1.5-litre petrol engine and 6-speed manual gearbox at ₹11.80 lakh.

The V costs ₹12.29 lakh with the manual and ₹13.79 lakh with the CVT.

The VX is priced at ₹13.93 lakh for the manual and ₹15.39 lakh for the CVT.

The ZX costs ₹15.39 lakh with the manual and ₹16.89 lakh with the CVT.

The new ZX+ sits at the top of the standard range, priced at ₹16.80 lakh for the manual and ₹18.30 lakh for the CVT.

Honda also offers a ZX+ Black Edition, priced at ₹16.90 lakh with the manual and ₹18.40 lakh with the CVT.

All prices are ex-showroom. The actual on-road price will depend on the registration location, insurance, accessories, applicable offers and dealer pricing.

What has changed on the Honda Elevate facelift?

Honda has not attempted to reinvent the Elevate. The facelift retains the SUV's platform, dimensions, engine and overall proportions.

Instead, the update focuses on making the Elevate look more distinctive and its cabin more competitive.

The key changes include:

  • New front grille and lighting signature
  • New connected LED tail-lamp treatment
  • New Nordic Forest Pearl exterior colour
  • More gloss-black exterior detailing
  • Updated interior materials and ambient lighting
  • Ventilated front seats
  • Ventilated rear seats
  • Powered front seats on the ZX+
  • Factory-fitted 360-degree camera
  • Front parking sensors
  • Updated Honda Sensing features
  • Improved cabin sound insulation
  • New ZX+ and ZX+ Black variants

This makes the facelift less about changing how the Elevate drives and more about improving the experience around the existing mechanical package.

Exterior gets a more distinctive face

The biggest visual change is at the front.

The Elevate now gets a revised grille with a gloss-black treatment and a new mesh design. Above it sits a new segmented LED daytime-running-light signature that gives the SUV a wider visual presence. The Honda badge has also been repositioned onto the leading edge of the bonnet.

The fog-lamp housings receive new detailing, while additional gloss-black elements are used around the lower sections of the exterior.

At the rear, the biggest change is the new full-width connected LED tail-lamp treatment, which visually links the two tail-lamp units across the tailgate.

The alloy-wheel design remains familiar, although the higher variants receive their own finishes.

Honda has also introduced Nordic Forest Pearl as a new exterior colour. It can be specified in both single-tone and dual-tone configurations, with a Crystal Black Pearl roof available on selected colour combinations.

The facelift retains the Elevate's existing dimensions, including its 220mm ground clearance, which remains one of the SUV's useful strengths for Indian roads.

A more premium cabin

The interior receives more substantial changes than the exterior.

Honda has revised the dashboard finish with additional soft-touch material and stitching, replacing some of the outgoing model's faux-wood treatment. Higher variants also receive factory-fitted ambient lighting.

The cabin can now be specified with a new ivory-and-black theme, while the top variants offer a more premium leatherette treatment.

But the most important changes are in the seats.

The facelift introduces ventilated front seats, while the top-spec ZX+ goes further with ventilated rear seats as well. The rear-seat ventilation is an unusual addition for this segment and could matter to buyers who regularly carry passengers in India's hot climate.

The ZX+ also gets powered front seats, with an eight-way electrically adjustable driver's seat and four-way electric adjustment for the front passenger.

Honda has additionally upgraded cabin lighting, including touch-sensitive rear reading lamps and an illuminated passenger-side vanity mirror.

360-degree camera finally comes to the Elevate

One of the most useful additions is the 360-degree Surround View camera.

The outgoing Elevate could be equipped with a surround-view camera as a dealer accessory, but the facelift brings the system into the factory equipment list on the ZX+.

Front parking sensors are also added, making the higher variants considerably easier to manoeuvre in tight parking spaces.

This is the sort of upgrade that may not change the appearance of the SUV, but can make a noticeable difference in everyday use.

Honda Sensing gets additional functionality

The Elevate continues with Honda Sensing, but the facelift expands its usefulness.

The system includes features such as collision mitigation braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, road-departure mitigation, lead-car departure notification and auto high-beam.

The CVT variants additionally get Low Speed Follow, which can automatically manage low-speed following when the conditions allow it.

Honda has also added rear disc brakes and front parking sensors to the updated equipment package.

Honda claims better cabin insulation

The outgoing Elevate was generally appreciated for its straightforward mechanical package, but cabin noise was one area where it faced criticism.

Honda says it has addressed this with additional sound-deadening material in the facelift.

The objective is straightforward: reduce engine, tyre and road noise reaching the cabin and make the Elevate feel more refined at cruising speeds.

This is one change that will ultimately be better judged from real-world driving rather than a specification sheet, but it is an important area for Honda to have addressed.

Honda Elevate 1.5 litre petrol engine - on Carbae - the new car buying platform

The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine stays

Under the bonnet, there is no major change.

The Elevate continues with Honda's 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine, producing 121hp and 145Nm.

It is available with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic.

Honda claims fuel efficiency of 15.31kpl for the manual and 16.61kpl for the CVT.

There is no turbo-petrol engine and, unlike the Honda City, the Elevate facelift does not get the 1.5-litre strong-hybrid powertrain.

That means the Elevate remains a relatively straightforward mechanical proposition in a segment where several rivals now offer turbocharged petrol engines or hybrid powertrains.

For buyers who prefer a naturally aspirated petrol engine and a conventional ownership proposition, that continuity could actually be one of the Elevate's strengths.

Which Honda Elevate variant makes the most sense?

The new range is broad enough that the right variant depends heavily on what you want from the SUV.

The SV is primarily the entry point for buyers who want the Elevate's basic mechanical package at the lowest possible price.

The V adds important everyday equipment and introduces the CVT option, making it the more accessible automatic version.

The VX is where the equipment list becomes considerably more complete, with features such as the larger alloy wheels, sunroof, ambient lighting, wireless charging and additional cabin technology.

The ZX is particularly interesting for buyers who want a more premium Elevate without moving all the way to the new top-spec ZX+. It gets ventilated front seats, the 10.25-inch touchscreen and a broader Honda Sensing package.

The ZX+ is the feature-loaded choice. This is where powered front seats, rear-seat ventilation, the 360-degree camera and front parking sensors come together.

For buyers considering the Elevate primarily as a family SUV, the ZX and ZX+ deserve particular attention because many of the facelift's meaningful comfort and convenience upgrades arrive higher up the range.

Honda Elevate facelift vs Creta, Seltos and other midsize SUVs

The updated Elevate continues to compete in one of India's most crowded segments, facing the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun and other midsize SUVs.

Honda's approach remains somewhat different.

The Elevate does not chase segment-leading power outputs or offer an increasingly complex selection of engines. Instead, it combines a naturally aspirated petrol engine, manual and CVT transmissions, generous ground clearance and a relatively straightforward SUV package.

The facelift now strengthens that proposition with equipment that buyers increasingly expect: ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera, larger screens, connected technology, more comprehensive driver-assistance features and a more premium cabin.

That makes the updated Elevate easier to recommend on equipment without fundamentally changing its character.

Buying the new Honda Elevate

For anyone considering the new Elevate, the headline ₹11.80 lakh price is only the starting point. The more useful number is the on-road price of the exact variant you intend to buy, after registration, insurance, accessories and applicable showroom offers.

You can explore the Honda Elevate, check its on-road pricing and available offers, and use the model page to move towards a test-drive or enquiry based on the variant you're considering.

If you're replacing an existing car, an exchange enquiry can also be made before deciding on the final purchase. Buyers who need financing can work from their preferred EMI or down-payment requirement rather than treating the ex-showroom price as the whole cost of the car.

Once you have selected the variant and colour, the purchase can proceed through an authorised Honda showroom mapped to your location, with the applicable showroom pricing and offers forming the basis of the final transaction.

The Elevate gets more complete without losing its original character

The Honda Elevate facelift is not a dramatic mechanical overhaul. Honda has deliberately left the parts of the SUV that already worked well alone.

The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine remains. The manual and CVT options remain. The 220mm ground clearance remains. The overall dimensions and practical SUV proportions remain.

What has changed is everything around that core package.

The exterior now has more presence, the cabin is richer, the seats are significantly better equipped and features such as a factory-fitted 360-degree camera and rear-seat ventilation address genuine everyday requirements.

The result is a more complete Elevate rather than a completely different one. For buyers who liked the original SUV's straightforward mechanical package but wanted more technology, comfort and visual appeal, the facelift makes the proposition considerably stronger.
