Honda City Sport Special Edition Launched at ₹14.89 Lakh: New Styling, Same Proven Performance

Honda has introduced a new limited-run variant of its highly regarded mid-size sedan — the Honda City Sport Special Edition — priced at ₹14.89 lakh (ex-showroom). This new offering is based on the V variant and brings a refreshed sporty aesthetic to an already well-rounded package.

At first glance, the City Sport distinguishes itself with subtle yet purposeful cosmetic enhancements. It retains the familiar proportions and silhouette of the standard City, but adds more visual drama through blacked-out design elements and a brand-new Radiant Red Metallic shade. The edition also comes in Meteoroid Gray Metallic and Platinum White Pearl, providing a distinctive look across colour options.

Design updates include a sleek blacked-out front grille, black ORVMs, shark-fin antenna, black lip spoiler, and glossy black 15-inch alloy wheels, reinforcing the sport-themed styling without overdoing it. The approach remains sophisticated, aimed at buyers looking for subtle individuality in their sedan.

Inside the cabin, the sport treatment continues with black leather upholstery enhanced by contrasting red stitching. This red detailing extends to the dashboard trim and steering wheel, creating a cohesive design language. The cabin also features rhythmic ambient lighting with seven colour options and glossy black AC vents, further elevating the in-cabin experience with a premium yet dynamic feel.

Since the City Sport is based on the V variant, it retains the same equipment level, which includes Honda Sensing (ADAS) and a comprehensive set of features that make the City one of the most value-rich sedans in its class.

Under the hood, there are no changes. The special edition continues with the tried-and-tested 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine, delivering 119 bhp and 145 Nm of torque. The only transmission option offered in this edition is the CVT, which ensures smooth city drivability and relaxed cruising.
