Best Selling Cars in January

As the first month of a new year comes to a conclusion, it is time to take a pause and look back how our beloved ones performed in the last month.Overall industry did pretty well with 2,94,869 unit sale comparing this to the last year, just a 2.58% decline, well considering the pandemic and chip shortage we can say it is good performance. Maruti Suzuki is as always with 43% market share, Hyundai regains the second spot from Tata, Mahindra and Kia takes fourth and fifth position respectively.

Now coming to the best performers, there are a couple of surprises. The usual entries like Hyundai Creta and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza failed to find a spot in the Top 10. The Hatchbacks Maruti Suzuki Wagon-R and Maruti Suzuki Swift takes first and second position. Dzire comes in third and Tata Nexon comes at fourth position pushing Maruti Suzuki Alto to fifth Position.

Maruti Suzuki dominates the list with 6 out of 10 cars in the best sellers while Tata Motors has Two cars, Tata Nexon and Tata Punch in fourth and 10th position. Hyundai and Kia has each one model in the top 10 list with Kia Seltos at 7th and Hyundai Venue at 8th Position.
