Tata Motors has officially taken the wraps off the 2025 Tata Altroz facelift, marking a significant update to its premium hatchback offering. Launched at an introductory price of ₹6.89 lakh (ex-showroom), the refreshed Altroz introduces a bolder design, upgraded technology, and new powertrain options.
The updated Altroz showcases a striking evolution of Tata’s Impact Design language, inspired by the brand’s 45X concept. Its front fascia now features a bold 3D grille, seamlessly integrated split LED headlamps with sleek daytime running lights, and a sophisticated 8-lamp LED setup that elevates its road presence. The side profile stands out with first-in-segment flush door handles, drawing a parallel with Tata’s upcoming Curvv SUV, while the new R16 Drag cut alloy wheels add a dynamic touch. At the rear, connected Infinity LED tail lamps and a redesigned bumper with larger blacked-out elements deliver a sportier, more contemporary appearance.
In terms of accessibility, the Altroz continues to set benchmarks—the doors now open a full 90 degrees, offering improved ingress and egress, especially in urban environments where space is often constrained.
Inside, the cabin sees a comprehensive refresh aimed at delivering a more premium and tech-focused experience. Dominating the dashboard is a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The fully digital 10.25-inch instrument cluster, a new two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, and an updated climate control interface all contribute to a cleaner, more modern layout. Tata has also introduced ventilated front seats, an increasingly in-demand feature in this segment.
The Altroz facelift is available in five distinct personas—Smart, Pure, Creative, Accomplished S, and Accomplished+ S—and offers a choice of colors including Dune Glow, Ember Glow, Royal Blue, Pure Grey, and Pristine White. Depending on the variant, buyers will find key upgrades such as rear AC vents, front and rear armrests, a voice-activated sunroof, keyless entry with push-button start, and wireless charging. The addition of 65W fast-charging ports at both ends of the cabin reflects Tata’s focus on keeping pace with the digital lifestyle of today’s buyers.
Practicality hasn’t been overlooked either. The petrol and diesel variants offer 345 litres of boot space, while the CNG variant offers 210 litres, balancing eco-friendly mobility with everyday utility.
When it comes to safety, Tata continues to lead. The new Altroz remains the only premium hatchback in India with a 5-star Global NCAP rating, a point of pride and reassurance for safety-conscious buyers. The facelift adds new safety tech such as six airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), ISOFIX mounts, a 360-degree HD surround view camera, blind view monitor, and emergency SOS calling, making it one of the most secure cars in its class.
Under the hood, Tata offers a versatile powertrain lineup tailored for different driving needs. The 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 88 bhp and 115 Nm of torque, while the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol—available in the Racer edition—delivers a peppy 118 bhp and 170 Nm. Diesel lovers will appreciate the refined 1.5-litre diesel engine, which makes 89 bhp and 200 Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between manual, AMT, and DCA (dual-clutch automatic) transmissions, depending on the variant.
Bookings for the 2025 Tata Altroz facelift will open on June 2, 2025, and early interest is already high, given the package it brings to the segment.
